Yearly, over 400 000 people are attacked by snakes around the world. The main problem with tackling this situation is the difficulty to identify the snake that made the attack and, therefore, the anti venom needed for the treatment. Our aim is to achieve said identification by analysing photographs, using machine learning and the support of herpetologists in online communities. Thus, our project is an identification app for smartphones, where medical doctors and citizens can upload a photo, and get results with percentage of accuracy. This tool is a support for the medical doctor who will make the final decision.
